About Us

Welcome! Wilson Recycling opened in 2008, and thanks to the great support from our community and our agency partners, we have become a recognized leader in the recycling field. We accept a wide range of materials for recycling including vehicles, ferrous and non-ferrous metals.

We buy metals from 8:30am to 4:30pm Monday - Saturday and are open until 5pm. Currently closed Sundays for Winter. We are located on the Truck Trail to Union at 2278 E Brockdale Road in Shelton, WA.

We accept or purchase all types of aluminum!

Including beverage cans, pet food cans, clean aluminum foil/pans, and aluminum window frames.

Cardboard

No wet or waxed type cardboard. No food stained cardboard like pizza boxes.

Cardboard is multi-layered with a wavy center also called corrogated. 

Please flatten in 4' x 4' or smaller sizes.

Clothing

For your convenience we have a bin for used clothing donation that supports Northwest Centers. You can include used clothing, shoes, belts, purses/bags as well as linens and bedding.

Electronics

 ***Most electronics are accepted for free***

We also participate in the Washington State E-Cycle program. Find out more about E-Cycle »  or watch this brief video about the E-cycle program.  Products accepted at Wilson Recycling through E-Cycle are:
—Computers
—Monitors
—Laptops
—Televisions

Beyond that, we also recycle audio/video gear, computer peripherals, household appliances, electronic toys, power tools, holiday lights, phones; pretty much anything and everything with a plug or a battery!

 We only charge for microwaves ($5), Freon items like refrigerators/freezers/AC units ($20)

Paper

We accept all types of paper, such as:
—Office paper and newspaper
—Junk mail including envelopes with windows
—Magazines and catalogs
—Paper towel & toilet paper tubes
—Paper egg cartons and paper milk/juice jugs
—Cereal and cracker boxes

Staples can be left in but no paper clips.

Please bag shredded paper using a paper bag if possible.

Plastics

We recycle the following plastics, these are some examples:
—Milk jugs (#2 translucent)
—Pop and water bottles (#1)
—Laundry and other soap bottles (#2 white/colored)
—Plastic bags and film or sheeting

All items must be clean of food and other debris and sorted to the correct bins.

Tin Cans

Tin or steel cans must be clean, labels and lids can be left on. Also other tin lids from items like pickle jars or beer caps can be included.  Some animal food cans are aluminum and need to be separated from the tin cans.
